Mario and I at the end of my final presentation.

(1) Positive Statement

What are you most proud of in your block presentation and/or your senior project? Why?

I am most proud of my activities because I got people to particapate and they weren't as bored as they were when I did my second lesson.
(2) Questions to Consider

a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your block presentation?  Use the component contract to defend that assessment.

AE       P          AP       CR       NC

I believe that I deserve a P because I hit every mark on the contract just like I had done the other times except that Holt didn't pay attention. So, hopefully he heard everything I had said while he was on his phone.
b.     What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project?
Use the component contract to defend that assessment.

AE       P          AP       CR       NC

I  think that I deserve more than a P but not an AE, so P+. I completed every blog assignment, interview and research check on time, and I had done more than the required hours for our mentorship and independent components.
(3) What worked for you in your senior project?

What worked best for me was that I was on top of everything. I made sure that my work was completed on time and done to the best of my ability.
(4) (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your senior project?

I would choose a different topic. I didn't realize that I wanted to do somethig different until I had actually got into model assembly. Even though I had time to think about what I wanted to do I wish that the margin to change our senior topic was a little longer. If I had changed my topc then I would have been more excited and enthusiastic about it.
(5) Finding Value

How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors?   Be specific and use examples.

My senior project helped me realize that teaching isn't for me. Of course I made it seem so that the audience would be excited about what I was about to say. I now realize that teaching is not for me.

blog 23- Exit interview preperation

(1) What is your essential question, and what are your answers?  What is your best answer and why?

  • What is the most effective method for a high school teacher to ensure that her students comprehend the material?
  • My three answers were to understand the adolescent brain, to adapt lesson plans to the students learning abilities, and to organize the classroom.

(2) What process did you take to arrive at this answer?

  • I arrived to this answer through the research I've done for this project and through the observations I've made of the class during mentor ship.

(3) What problems did you face?  How did you resolve them?
  • Problems I faced were narrowing down my answers because there are so many general answers as to how a teacher can best ensure that their students understood what they were learning.
(4) What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question and why?
  • Resource #16, #37, #57, #64

  • These sources each had valuable information that helped me narrow down to my three main answers
